On the first lap of the endurance race we didn’t carry enough speed on to one of the hills and ended up flipping backwards and rolling down the hill…
The driver was OK and aside from a couple dented panels the car didn’t suffer any damage. After a quick frame inspection we were able to continue the endurance race.
Helmet cam of the roll:
The Tiger BAJA car lasted all 4 hrs of the endurance race and we only had to make 1 unscheduled stop to repair a lose exhaust. The extra stop cost us some time but we were able to fix it and continue the race.
Pictures and helmet cam video coming soon!
Packed up and ready for the 18 hr drive back home!
It was a busy day since we attended all 4 dynamic events: acceleration, hill climb, maneuverability, and suspension/traction and got the car ready for tomorrows 4 hour long endurance race!
We struggled a bit in the maneuverability event and almost rolled the car over on the suspension/traction course( video coming soon!) but at the end of the day the car is still running strong and ready to take on the 2 mile long endurance track tomorrow morning.
We will post up pictures and videos from all the static and dynamic events over the next couple of days.
Waiting in line for tech.
In the Gordon Field house at RIT waiting on our turn for design evaluation!
